A traditional town with a friendly atmosphere and links to the highest ski area in Switzerland, with an excellent snow record. The Titlis Glacier has good intermediate terrain. Engelberg has one of the longest verticals in the Alps and a 'must do' for the confident skier. Off-piste opportunities are great, but be aware of avalanche warnings when going off piste. This un-crowded ski area makes it great for weekend getaway.
